CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.
SERVICES
Complete Carpentry
Our carpentry division specializes in all phases of carpentry - from the rough shell (using our own wall panels, metal or wood), to the window & door installation, James Hardie sidings, and the interior trim finishes. We have a diversified background from new construction to the renovation of existing buildings. Our key personnel work with GC/ Owner to ensure that the job is run as safely, smoothly, and efficiently as possible.
Wall Panels
We manufacture our wall panels and components in our 94,000 square foot component shop. We are able to install the windows into the panels before sending them to the job site. Our wood & metal panel production process ensures that the wall panels are square and accurate, helps to keep job sites uncluttered, and minimizes the opportunity for theft or damage. Therefore, saving the developer money because less dumpsters are needed on the job sit and the building is under roof quicker.
Architectural Millwork
Our Millwork division specializes in architectural millwork, casework, and finish carpentry. With a staff of experienced estimators, project managers and supervisors along with the craftsmanship of veteran carpenters, we can ensure the highest level of quality and customer service on all projects including hotels, restaurants, mid- and high-rise residential, hospitals and stadiums.
ABOUT
Edon Construction Company, Inc. is a family owned and operated union company for almost 55 years in the Chicagoland area. Edward McGowan co-founded Edon Construction Co., Inc. in 1963 and has been a key proponent in the success and growth of the company and its prominent reputation in the industry. Ed was working as a union carpenter before Edon Construction was established and has continued to support union carpentry for over 60 years.
When the company was first established, we predominantly worked in residential carpentry, we then expanded into the commercial carpentry industry, and most recently have expanded into architectural millwork. In 2009 Ed’s daughters, whom have worked along his side for almost 30 years, took over the company. We have been WBE certified since 2010 and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to prospective employees.
We embrace diverse backgrounds and experiences because we are dedicated to continuously improving and developing our operations as the industry continues to expand and grow. Our employees are experienced, efficient, and dedicated to providing our clients with superior-quality products on-time and under budget. We are committed to supporting our employees and clients as they are essential members of our Edon Family. We provide our employees with quarterly trainings, weekly project-specific safety meetings, and weekly industry-specific newsletters to ensure their knowledge and skills are well-rounded and proficient.
